The right care starts with the floor type. A method that works on one floor can harm another.
- VCT: the most common floor we strip and wax. It holds floor finish well.
- LVT: never waxed. It gets cleaning and care made for its factory coating.
- Tile and grout: deep cleaned, with extra work on the grout lines.
- Concrete: scrubbed and sealed or coated, based on how it was treated before.
- Terrazzo: cleaned with gentle products so the surface does not dull.
- Marble: natural stone that is never waxed and needs cleaners made for stone.
- Rubber: cleaned with products that will not dry out the rubber.
- Hardwood: never waxed. It gets care made for wood.
- Gym floors: wood gym floors are screened and recoated, not stripped.
Strip and wax or scrub and recoat?
It depends on the finish already on the floor.
- Full strip and wax when the finish is yellow, peeling, patchy, or built up from years of coats.
- Scrub and recoat when the finish is dull or scuffed but still stuck tight to the floor.

Frequently asked questions
How often should commercial floors be stripped and waxed?
There is no set schedule. Entrances and main halls wear out first. Regular burnishing and scrub and recoat visits stretch the time between full strips. A floor assessment shows where your floors stand.
How long does new floor finish take to dry?
Each coat has to dry before the next one goes on, and the area stays closed until the last coat is dry. Air flow, heat, and humidity in the building all change drying time, so we plan each closed section ahead of time.
Can the work happen after hours?
Yes. We work at night, on weekends, one section at a time, or during school breaks so your building keeps running.
Which floors should never be waxed?
LVT, stone, and wood floors are never waxed. Wood gym floors are screened and recoated instead.
